FORE!
STYLE FRAMES
Fore is a short story depicting the journey of a golf ball through the course. Portraying the game as a war-torn land where getting into the hole, is the difference between life and death, similar to how one miss-placed stroke is the difference between a loss and a victory.

REFERENCES / STORYBOARD
The main source of inspiration for this piece is based on my experience as a golfer. As well as my love for war films. I wanted to capture the raw and unfiltered emotions of war and also to inject my sense of humor by pairing this concept with a sport that is seemingly peaceful.
PHASE 01
The initial pass of the style frames was done purely in Cinema 4D. The main goal for this was to first get an idea of the overall composition.
PHASE 02
The second pass was all about adding some finer details as well as compositing in Photoshop after the initial 3D pass. This enabled me to capture both the raw emotions of war and the tranquility of golf.
PHASE 03
The third pass was about finalizing the details, the last ten percent of a project is the most important and difficult part of the process. Through this, I gained a greater understanding of what my frame of reference was, for defining the line between a good project, and a great one.
