Harold Crick and Kay Eiffel are both individuals who have their own routines and beliefs for the way they live their lives or create their stories. At some point, they both have a moment of realization and come to a threshold where they need to make a change within their lives.
Simply put the concept is about “Crossing the line.”

GRAPHIC REFERENCE
The graphic inspiration for this sequence was based on the documentary, "Graphic Means" A documentary of the graphic design process before computers became the main medium for graphic design production.
LIGHTING REFERENCE
The inspiration for the lighting came from the usage of lightboxes during an era where their use was prevalent in architecture, design, and animation.
