TITLE SEQUENCE / STYLE FRAMES
In a utopian future, Nemo is the oldest and last man to ever have the choice of immortality. The film explores Nemo as a young boy faced with an impossible decision: should he stay with his father or leave with his mother? The film is based around all of his possible lives that could occur, of which are all dependent on his one decision. The concept is based on the idea of choices being embedded in layers of glass, after each layer is glass is etched with a choice they layer on top of each other in order to reveal the show logo.

→ TOOLS: Photoshop, After Effects, Cinema 4D, Redshift
The concept reference for this sequence is based on glass etchings. I wanted to understand how light refracts and passes through glass and also how the color of the glass is transformed based on difference surface properties.
Initial storyboard sketches depicting the potential sequence of the project.
3D MATERIAL TESTING
In these references, I wanted to explore how I can replicate the materiality of glass and also wanted to test how I can make light refract and affect the glass material through the application of different textures and light intensity.
The first pass of frames, without compositing, these are the raw 3D renders using Redshift.
The second pass of renders, exploring different compositions and render settings.
The final pass of renders after compositing and treatment.
