24, 30, 60.
To me these numbers represent the timeline of my life.
At 24 I wanted to get married, at 30 I wanted to have a stable and high paying career, and at 60 I wanted to retire. I’m currently 25 and single. I’ve realized that not everything in life goes according to plan. Even during the production of a project, something can go wrong. Whether it’s a sequence rendered out at the incorrect frame rate, or computers crashing before a file is saved. The lessons I’ve learned during my life are about resilience, and flexibility. It’s important to stay grounded in the work you are doing, but it is equally as important to be open to different methods or ideas that can improve the overall outcome of a project. My name is Eugene Hyun and I am a designer that is resilient against all computer crashes and flexible to all last minute design change requests. In the wise words of Bruce Lee, “Be water, my friend”.
